Our Commitment to Environmental Responsibility

Incora™ is now in its ninth year of being certified to the ISO 14001:2015 (Standard for Environmental Management Systems).

Over 90% of our global employees have completed their annual Environmental Awareness training to understand their impact and role within our environmental commitment.

The Global Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team is supported at the site level by our EHS Leads, who champion and promote continual improvement in environmental performance.

Governance and EHS Processes

Our internal governance and EHS processes ensure that we identify the true root cause of any incident, ensuring continuous improvement.

Ongoing investment in our sites guarantees they are fit for purpose and equipped with the technologies to move, store, and dispatch chemicals safely.

Our third-party emergency response support gives confidence that we are doing everything within our capability to prevent environmental harm at all sites.

Incora has never released any chemical into the environment, which is a testament to the integral management processes we have in place and the passion of our staff towards environmental protection. The safe handling of substances is critical in maintaining our objective of zero environmental harm.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

Incora is responsible for strict compliance with regulatory requirements surrounding chemicals, prioritizing environmental protection and safety.

This includes implementing robust risk management measures to prevent environmental harm, maintaining safe handling protocols, and sharing safety information with customers and downstream users.

Incora conducts ongoing monitoring and reporting on chemical usage and compliance, fostering transparency and aligning with its broader sustainability and environmental stewardship goals.

Chemical Classification and Packaging Compliance

Incora must ensure that all chemical substances are correctly classified and clearly labeled to protect the environment and public health.

This includes accurate hazard communication through standardized labels and safety data sheets (SDS), allowing safe handling and informed decision-making across the supply chain.

Incora’s packaging must meet regulatory standards to prevent leaks or accidental exposure. Regular reviews and updates ensure Incora’s labels and classifications remain compliant, reflecting any changes in substance properties or regulatory requirements, reinforcing its commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

Ongoing Environmental Impact Reduction Projects

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact.

Current projects include evaluating energy monitoring software to be implemented within our global Incora locations.

Rationalizing our use of freight providers to consolidate journeys with those third parties that achieve good environmental performance will help reduce both our own and our customers’ transport-related emissions.

Carbon Reporting and the Path to Net Zero

Incora’s carbon reporting process for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions has been tracked historically.

We have started to frame our Scope 3 carbon emissions to understand our full role in the transition to net zero by 2050.
